bushido_man96 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Has anyone seen the ads for the new movie War? Jet Li, Jason Stathom; I can't wait! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
The BB of C Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I saw a trailer yesterday. I was excited. I thought Jet Li was retired after "Fearless."
bushido_man96 Posted August 16, 2007 Author Posted August 16, 2007 Nope, not retired. Just done making "Martial Arts Epics." Whatever those are classified as. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
The BB of C Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Either way it's good to see him back. I remember everyone saying "'Fearless' is going to be his last movie so it's probably going to be really good." (which they were right by the way)
A_Train Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 I'm going to see it. Statham is one of my favorite actors, he epitomizes cool. However, I've not often been a fan of his fight scenes, especially in Transporter 2.This one looks better though. I play a wrestling game online. If you'd like to play follow this linkhttp://www.thewrestlinggame.com/wg.asp?w= 133896
NightOwl Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 It has not been screened for critics...not a got sign unfortunately. It looks a lot like 'Romeo must die' http://www.karateforums.com/uncle-nightowl-s-martial-movie-reviews-vt30723-10.html Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.~Theodore Roosevelt
KarateEd Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 I've just seen part of one add. I heard that Jet Li was through making karate/action movies after this one. Is this true? Ed
NightOwl Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 That was the pitch for the movie fearless (or at least that it would be his last martial arts 'epic'). However with War being released and the team up with Jackie chan movie coming out, I think that it is safe to say that he isn't going anywhere soon. He really is an amazing athlete, and I am glad to see that he is sticking around the film scene. Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.~Theodore Roosevelt
