lordtariel
Doesn't sound unreasonable. Do you have belt testing fees and if so, how much? There's no place like 127.0.0.
bushido_man96
It seems a bit high to me, but I am pretty tight as it is. It doesn't seem bad, though, and for what they offer, you could be getting your money's worth. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Azmyth
its a bit high compared to the last school i was at..last one was 36 a month, but was tied into a year contract.and it was ITF tkd only.this is jiujitsu, some kempo, practical weapons, MMA fighting/grappling. KarateEd
Wow, $80 bucks a month! I am used to the lower-than-normal rates I pay so this seems a bit high, but if I wanted to train in a particular style I could justify spending that much. lordtariel
In my experience you usually get charged more to avoid a contract. It really depends on the area you're in and who you're instructor is. I pay $65 a month, for essentially the same thing, but I'm in a two year contract. It'd be about $10 a month more if I wanted to go contract-free.well I went tonight and checked it out and after seeing it and doing it.. I signed up..its worth it.That's what it really comes down to. Some places charge $70-100 a month and are mcdojo's, others are in that price range and are quality instructors. I'd personally pay extra to have a quality instructor. $80 a month to be able to train almost any day of the week isn't bad when you consider some of the cheaper places only offer two - three classes a week. bushido_man96
I, too, get a discounted rate for being on a contract. Also, as part of the contract, the monthly fees come out my account via EFT, which makes it nice that I don't have to worry about writing a check every month, or getting behind on payments.Really, contracts can be beneficial, as long as they are used right. If you have been at the same school for a few years, and don't think you will leave, getting on a contract probably won't hurt you that much. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

In the event of illness or injury, the contract gets paused, and I start paying again when I recover. That way I don't get charged for months that I was unable to attend. Those are important things to look for in my opinion, when going into a contract. There's no place like 127.0.0.
Azmyth
yeah, I actually got a discount.. so its less than 80..but he doesn't give that to everyone. plus no contracts, made for a sweet deal. I still have to buy some of the gear.. but thats not something i have to do often. "Fear does not exist in this dojo does it?"
