Azmyth
I see you guys points. Albany is a bit of a drive for me.. I was just mainly wanting to try something other than TKD.. because.. well I just want to broaden my horizon's. I had thought one time that crawford's in albany taught other styles.. but like you said.. not even sure its even aroudn anymore.but now that you have explained.. I do see what you mean. DWx
Oh and I'd like to know which USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame he was inducted into because I can't find him at all and I've looked in quite a few.Found him now:http://www.usnmat.net/page7.htmlThis organisation also promotes you through the dan ranks so I would just like to draw your attention to the requirements to grade:http://www.usnmat.net/page3.html "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius
Azmyth
This guy is a4th degree in American Karate2nd degree in ITF TKD1st degree in WTF TKD5th degree & founder of Universal Kempo/Juijitsublackbelt in Modern Arniscertified coach in USA boxingassistant director of Sogo Budo Kyokai (I'm not sure what this and can't find anything on it, can anyone explain it to me???)+ several "Hockheim's knife / Counter knife combatives"all within the space of 10 years and the only one he has told us when he started is the TKD (which I am assuming is the ITF as he got his blackbelt in that first)...Oh and I'd like to know which USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame he was inducted into because I can't find him at all and I've looked in quite a few.I'm not trying to pick at the guy, I just seem very dubious because its a lot blackbelts in a short space of time...Yeah I didn't notice this til now.. He was taught by the same teacher I have now for ITF TKD.. so I know he's legit in that facet. I never knew he even did WTF or American Karate, I know he did Arnis for a while, and got heavy into "practical" fighting styles. I saw him on tv on a local access channel demonstrating his system, and it looked pretty good.. they had a few different stylists there.. I remember there being a Krav Maga guy and some others... I still believe he knows what he's doing just from personal experience, but I'd like to know when all these other things came into play because if there was a place around here to study american karate.. I would have been on it like gravy on rice. "Fear does not exist in this dojo does it?"
YoungMan
You know, the more I read about these guys, the more I'm glad I study where I do. But that's another forum. There is no martial arts without philosophy.

YoungMan
Jackson, Michigan. Affiliated with GM Tae Zee Park, 9th Dan Kukkiwon. I don't actually study there anymore. However, I am still with the organization which is based there. The Head Instructor is a good friend of mine. We tested together. There is no martial arts without philosophy.
