Rateh
Well anyways, I've been training in MA for 10 years now. This summer I came up to utah to visit family for the whole summer, so I looked around and found a place to train at. I love it so much I'm going to move here permanently in November. So they are letting me keep my current rank, 1st degree, and I am testing up through their system. White belt is 11th Kup, and today I passed off my 8th Kup, and had to break a board. Might seem like a little thing, but I've only really broken a board once, and that was with a palm heel like 8-9 years ago when I was around 14 years old. Today I broke it with a side kick. The board wasn't very thick, but it was still lots of fun. It kind of exploded a bit in dust which was awsome, plus I didn't even feel my foot go through it.So anyways, I just wanted to tell ya'll because I really enjoyed it. bushido_man96
That's cool. Sometimes it is good to revist something that you haven't done in a while, like a board break. Have fun training at your new place! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
pegasi
Congrats! The first time you do something is always special. The first time you do a specific technique in a board break has that "feel" of the first time, since it's new to you. I felt that way about my first ever break with a punch, as well as my first break with a 360 roundhouse. That " I didn't even feel it" result is the one you should feel every time you break a board properly, good technique and good power making it feel like practically nothing at all. what goes around, comes around
Sir Gerbil
a break always make me feel good... it makes me think "damn, i did that?" i cant wait till we break cement. Pain is good. Just not in large quantities.----------------------------------------------When I get into a fight, the guy laughs at me, then his friends laugh, then i laugh, so everyone's laughing. minutes after he throws the first punch its just me laughing. lordtariel
While some people may tell you that breaking isn't that important, it's still really fun and satisfying to do. There's no place like 127.0.0.
