Burmese Boxing vs. Thai Boxing comparison

I was wondering if anyone knew what the major differences between these two styles of fighting are. I know very little about Burmese boxing, but I recently saw a book on the subject that I may have to buy. It was written by a guy that wrote a book that I have on Muay Thai, and I was just curious as to what the similarities and differences really are.

Burmese boxing rules allow headbutts. They probably also train differently. Other than that they're similar.

Hey, cool. Thanks for the response. I wonder how often the headbutt figures into the fights? I remember a vid being posted on the subject a while back, but I don't remember too much comparison study.

Yeah, until then I only knew of Burmese boxing from what I saw off Ong-Bak.

I thought that Ong-Bak was about Thai Boxing? Or does it contain both?
