gzk Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 G'day,I'm not a TKDer nor am I interested in taking TKD at this point in time, I'm just asking out of curiosity, are there any dojangs that say "To heck with the ATA/ITF/WTF/whoever, we're going to spar without headgear, hogus, allow face punches and low kicks"? bangkaliliang Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 i think what u want should be korean kick boxing or taekkyon? Jumping kicks must have a reason, to cover distance, or to take down a mounted opponent.Jook-Am blackbelt 2nd dan patternGTF TaekwondoChinese Kick Boxing Junior Learnerhttps://www.sonkal.cz
bushido_man96 Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 I am sure that there are some schools that do that. The school that I attend is not one of any of the organizations that you mention, but we do WTF style sparring. This site may interest you: https://www.raynerslanetkd.com https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

french fri25 Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 no, its full contact. the only things we cant do are hit to the groin or to the back. we are allowed sweeps, throws, strikes to the face and body.oh, and we arent allowed leg kicks either.
YoungMan Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 And how early in the training does this full contact begin? After students have had quite a bit of practice, or from Day One? There is no martial arts without philosophy.
french fri25 Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 usually when students reach around 6th or 5th kup, we start them on full contact.
