username8517 Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 I know, I just think the broad generalizations they throw out are silly
Adonis Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 I agree! I just enjoy the show for the history aspects, and some of the training methods.
bushido_man96 Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 I think that perhaps that comment was made in direction toward their style of competition. TKD and Karate have elbow strikes, but you don't see them done in TKD or Karate Competitions. I would guess that this is what they were getting at. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
bushido_man96 Posted September 10, 2007 Author Posted September 10, 2007 It appears that the Krav Maga episode is the last for now. Does anyone know when they will pick up again? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Adonis Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 Not sure! They have other episodes on the list. I am just not sure when they will be aired.
bushido_man96 Posted September 11, 2007 Author Posted September 11, 2007 Well, by taking a few weeks off, maybe I can get caught up. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
NightOwl Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 The next episode will be on Marine combat training and should air next friday- I am interested to see if they include a lot of weapons training in this one. bushido_man96 Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 Cool. That sounds great. So not this Friday, but the next? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
NightOwl Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 right, the 21st. I think that they might do some rifle work from the photos...but really, isn't marksmanship/learning to handle a gun a modern martial art? If you look at the old Jujitsu schools (ryus) weapons are just as big a part of the curriculum as unarmed fighting.
