What Martial Arts Have You Studied

well, i only officially practice karate. (two mixed styles, not sure of them) but sometimes at the end of a lesson our instructors throw in a "self defense" techinique from their ju-jitsu or aikido knowledge. some locks or a choke or something.

Pain is good. Just not in large quantities.

When I get into a fight, the guy laughs at me, then his friends laugh, then i laugh, so everyone's laughing. minutes after he throws the first punch its just me laughing.

Myself:

Takusankage Shinobido 13 Years

Koto Ryu Koppokutsu 9 Years

Hayai Ryu Kenjutsu 9 Years

Kenpo Karate 1.5 Years

oh my god i would not want to get in a street fight with you.

i had no idea how experienced people on this forum actually were...

Um...I'd never heard of any of those first three systems, so I did a search on the net for them out of curiosity. Cartoon/anime martial arts shouldn't scare you to much unless you're a cartoon character. :brow:

If you don't want to stand behind our troops, please..feel free to stand in front of them.


Student since January 1975---4th Dan, retired due to non-martial arts related injuries.

Now training in Kimura Shukokai Karate for about 2 weeks now
