The only time I could see using a colored gi would be for a grappling art where you're on the ground to avoid having the gi look filthy. marie curie Posted October 5, 2007 Share Posted October 5, 2007 I once saw a camoflauge gi at a BJJ seminar... it was quite funny and rediculous. I stand by black, though, as far as stain hiding goes. I know white is traditional, but I hate smelling people's bleachy gi's or feeling nasty because I have smears of dirt or blood all over.
