bushido_man96 Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I think bouncers get these cards sometimes. Not sure though, I'm just going by my friend's father's word. I'm not even sure if they are real?A card that you show someone before thumping them, so that you aren't held liable for their butt-whooping? Am I understanding your statement correctly? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

I think the idea is that while they're reading the card and starting to laugh hysterically over it, you nail them! Kajukenbopr Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Wing chun, traditional tkd, and aikijujitsu.I dont know what the name would be, but, it woud consist on the fast hands of wing chun, fast kicks of tkd and the throws and locks of aikijujitsu.i train in kajukenbo self defense- its a pretty complete style as it is. <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty
mantis.style Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 I'm not sure I'm happy with the fact that you only mention fast hands with wing chun. I'm also confused by the choice of "traditional" TKD. After all, isn't traditional tkd, shotokan? traditional chinese saying:speak much, wrong much
Kajukenbopr Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 yes, u are right, wing chun has a lot more material, not just fast hands.I said what came off the top of my head, not give a detailed description of the style.my apologies if i offended u <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty

If anything, to me, the less people know about wing chun, the better for me. I have to say though that I find this all a bit fascinating. As someone who has spent more than a few years in this, I would say that Wing Chun will not work with TKD - too many structural differences. I would also say that Wing Chun doesn't need Aikijujutsu. Chin-Na can be used freely from most aspects of wing chun, especially at secondary trapping stages and the way Wing Chun works, you don't need to go to the ground. Of course, it is always good to cover more bases but you only mention locks and throws which wing chun has enough of its own, even without taking specialised Chin-Na classes. traditional chinese saying:speak much, wrong much

However, I am sure that many Shotokan stylists would be able to tell you that the two are different enough. Just like many off-branches of Karate, being similar but different. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

And with the tkd kicks, i know the structural differences, but maybe some concepts could be applied both ways to make some kicks work- just to spice it up <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty

After all, isn't traditional tkd, shotokan?I think "traditional" tkd may be a misnomer. TKD didn't come about until like 1960 due to political disputes about it's forerunner tang soo do. tang soo do is pretty much a korean offshoot of shotokan. they have some of the same kata, but they have different ones as well. However, the techniques are pretty much the exact same, at least from what I've seen and experienced (my first style was TSD.) koreans thought that TSD was "too japanese", thus another, "more korean" art was created - tkd.
