Hwa Rang Warrior Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I'm starting a new "club" at one of the local colleges. It's going to be a basic martial arts class provided by the college as an extra curricular activity. The college wants me to draw up a contract but I'm not sure how to word it since I've never done anything like this before. We've already negotiated a price and the duration of the program. I'm not sure what the contract should cover. Does any one have any suggestions??? Tang Soo!
bushido_man96 Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Do you plan to use equipment? Do you plan on providing uniforms for your students? These are things to consider. You may want to talk with an attorney about it as well. In the contract, you may want to include fees for equipment depreciation (after all, they are going to kick your bags), floor rental (if the space is yours), and your teaching fees as well, if they are considered. You should also consider the dates that the class will start and end, the curriculum included for the students (colleges love syllabuses), the dates that the classes will meet, and the duration of the class periods. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

Since its for a short time I'm only going to offer uniforms for those who wish to persue rank and keep up with training. The syllabus is a good idea I'll definately try to put one of those together. ninjanurse Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I would include a Release of Liability in a clause to cover refunds of fees. "A Black Belt is only the beginning."Heidi-A student of the artsTae Kwon Do,Shotokan,Ju Jitsu,Modern Arnishttp://the100info.tumblr.com/
