Ace2021
I don't think you can just SEE..you have to test them. Give them a stimulus and see how they react. As most said, it would be unwise to show your fighting ability to strangers...Wait until you're underestimated, attacked, then let them have it. bushido_man96
I don't think you can just SEE..you have to test them. As most said, it would be unwise to show your fighting ability to strangers....This is where professional fighters have an advantage...they can almost always get some footage on their opponents, or they can scout them out some way, and then modify their training accordingly. That advantage just does not exist for the street. Unless you fight the same people over and over again. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Sensei Rick
YOU can definitely tell...... if you don't look like a fighter, you might just be okay, but not great. the screen saver on my comuter is a pic of me, my best friend (black belt), my TKD instructor and my late sensei. My TKD nstructor was the north american PKA chamion in 1987, he defeated don nakaya neilson for the title. He fought Maurice Smith for the world title, but came in second.. A friend of mine... who is a martial artist, looked at the pic and said imediatley that Dino has fighters hands.. and he does. In the pic, we are all wearing suits. He knew he was a fighter just from his hands, and when you see him walk, you can tell too. place clever martial arts phrase here
Menjo
I don't think you can just SEE..you have to test them. Give them a stimulus and see how they react. Not with your eyes you can't. The stimulus or test is the entire world, and how they react with everything around, and with proper judgement, put the puzzle together.Testing them with your influence corrupts a true understanding of what they are really like, In the famous Art of War a qoute goes along the line of 'Invunerability rests with self; Vunerability with the enemy."By testing them, you are limiting your scouting info.By letting them show themselves through the natural order of things, you are only limited to how much you can scout. As nature doesn't have a biased mind, you can analyze with less bias or confusion. Athena
not sure about spotting a good fighter besides stalking them XDbut my dad says you can tell how fast a person is by watching how they move..I guess it's true. I've been watching my cousin tom and dad for a while..and have been able to scale people just by watching them move..besides...scaling people up to see how good a fighter or how fast they could be could be the very thing that keeps me from going insane sometimes XD though i don't really give it much thought much now days *shrugs* Strike first. 'Til then i will not fight you. Everytime someone calls JKD a style, Bruce turns over. Why do I love Bruce Lee? Not because he was an awesome martial artist- but because his train of thought overlapped with mine even before I knew about him. Thank you karate forums, for introducing me to Bruce Lee
Existence_is _suffering
I think by watching how people move you can get at least a very basic idea of how skilled they are... Things like weight distribution when they walk, posture, fluidity and such things can often give some idea I find... Not that it's an exact science or anything!... The first person to call me mate gets a punch in the throat...
