bushido_man96 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 I think the reason that I can say this, is because of the coverage that ESPN is starting to give MMA competitions. They have been covering the events more and more, and it is being accepted as the sport it is. MMA is bringing martial arts more into the mainstream, and it is great. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
ps1 Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 I don't think there's any arguing with your statement! MMA is a mainstream event and, if it continues it's current course, will be long lived. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
bushido_man96 Posted May 27, 2007 Author Posted May 27, 2007 Do you think that professional boxing should really start to worry? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
BlahuKahuna Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Maybe. Martial arts have gone through phases before (need I say ninjas?) and boxing has survived. But boxing really needs some more coverage.
Rainbow_Warrior Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Well , boxing stills moving more money , I think ( there are prices over a couple of millions , and even Fedor earn that money -he ´´barely´´ get quarter or half million-).And the oldest people , will be holding their passion for boxing.....I do love boxing too. ´´ The evil may win a round , but not the fight ´´
A_Train Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Boxing definitely is still making more money, but MMA is rising in popular opinion. I couldn't name more than a few boxers that are currently competing, but I could name more than a handful of MMA guys, and thats without following either that much. I play a wrestling game online. If you'd like to play follow this linkhttp://www.thewrestlinggame.com/wg.asp?w= 133896
