G95champ Posted May 26, 2002 Posted May 26, 2002 I saw this a few weeks back that he was a blackbelt in Judo but I just saw some film of him training and he is really good. Lets hope George W. Bush Jr. don't upset him this week on his visit. LOL..... (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
tessone Posted May 27, 2002 Posted May 27, 2002 Although his economic policy bugs me sometimes, I like Vladimir Vladmirovich a great deal. Did anyone on the forums see his speech to the American nation following 9/11? We saw it several times a day over there for about a week. It was really touching (don't know how it sounded in translation). Chris TessoneBrown Belt, Kuk Sool Won
G95champ Posted May 27, 2002 Author Posted May 27, 2002 I tend to like him and think he is one of our better friends despite what a lot of people say aobut US and Russia. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."

theswarm Posted April 1, 2003 Posted April 1, 2003 you'd be surprised what world/ex world leaders have/had blackbelts Nelson mandala was like 3rd dan at karate i think but yeah as I was saying to my friend, instead of politicians having soldiers fight wars for them I think there should be a NHB ring specifically for politicians who choose to create conflict. They enter the ring and fight for the death. Maybe with that politicians would be less eager to kill when it's their life on the line
monkeygirl Posted April 1, 2003 Posted April 1, 2003 That would be insanely awesome. 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
ramymensa Posted April 2, 2003 Posted April 2, 2003 Still I wouldn't put all the future of a country in such an encounter, though the idea is cute World Shotokan Karate
SaiFightsMS Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 Interestingly enough Theodore Roosevelt had some judo training. I have no idea how much or for how long. Tidbit of information courtesy of a history channel show.
