O-sensei, said that he only knew of shorin ryu and miyagi sensei's gojuryu. but that was back in 1920something.... plenty of ancient and traditional styles have been invented since then.

Has anyone ever heard of "Genwakai" ? ther was a dojo teaching it in Denver, never heard of the style since. It looked a little like Nippon Kempo.

I like many of them. Goju for it's hard body conditioning, and shorin/shotokan styles for there speed and movement.

 

Kyokushin stands out as a combo of both but I think it's easly to add into your system a little from either.
