dippedappe Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 I was unsure about where to post this thread.I wonder how the Ninjutsu training is being done nowadays. Im not talking about the Taijutsu or the weapon training. I mean the rest of the art. What do you learn today? Whats the stealthtraining like? Do you learn special techniques to run stealthy? To use the inviroment to be stealthy and so on and so forth? What do you learn besides the hand-to-hand and weapon combat, and how do you learn it?
The BB of C Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 I think there are camps to learn it and stuff. Google it. I'm sure you'll find something. I did by accident one day.
french fri25 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 a lot of the things can be found right in the taijutsu. you just have to look for it. most of the time, your instructor wont tell you guys, "okay, today we're gonna learn stealth walking." its just hidden in the art itself. stealth is stealthy. if everyone learned about stealth, it wouldnt be stealth, get it? also, hatsumi saw what he was being taught in ninjutsu and it frightened him to know that anybody could learn these skills. stealth and infiltration techniques and assasination techniques and things of the sort will be taught to only the closest of students to hatsumi. you cant just go around teaching people how to break into houses and sneak up behind someone and throw a shuriken at their head. imagine what kind of psychos would be walking around with those skills if it were in the curriculum. only the highest and most trusted students of hatsumi can learn these skills proficiently. if you go up to your average ninjutsu instructors, most of them probably dont even know these skills.
Takusankage Soke Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 There are still instructors out there who have preserved the lore of the ninja. Seek one of them (i.e. Masaaki Hatsumi) "Nothing is ever truly broken, it only cannot do that which it was meant to do."-Sensei Chris Parrill-
Justin Treadaway Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 My instructor has taken/teaches a class on it, I its called warriors not sure on the name (its the same thing as ninjitsu but chinese/japanese not a lot of peps know but both countries pretty much both had ninjas and if i am not mistaken its pretty much the samething, i know both styles fed off of one another or somthing like that I dont know much about it, but I know its all ninja weapons and the same training).... but you have to become a black belt in sil lum kungfu before they will allow you into it. You have to be invited because there are no forms or anything its all about stealth, fighting the dark, throwing weapons, killing an opponent, wall climbing, fighting on ropes, wilderness survival etc.. I will ask a little more about it, because I dont know much about it. I know he was taught by Grandmaster Rick Ward in Boone, NC.
Treebranch Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 First learn Taijutsu and then learn the stealth stuff. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
marie curie Posted May 29, 2007 Posted May 29, 2007 There was a pretty good discovery channel or whatever special on this- I'll look and see if I can find it. Montana Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Research the US Navy S.E.A.L.S...that's as close to modern day ninja training you'll find. If you don't want to stand behind our troops, please..feel free to stand in front of them.Student since January 1975---4th Dan, retired due to non-martial arts related injuries.
