strangepair03 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 don't want to dance with anyone that big. I have to go to work the next dayHey bushidoman, kimbo was a convict . I have readen he gained skills in prison fights . So , you may meet some guy like him at work That may be. That is why we are issued pepper spray and tasers.I am a Officer here in New Jersey and I wish we could have Tasers here. Do they really work as good as they say?? A punch should stay like a treasure in the sleeve. It should not be used indiscrimately.Kyan Chotoku Sensei
bushido_man96 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 I am a Officer here in New Jersey and I wish we could have Tasers here. Do they really work as good as they say??They have been working very well so far. Our PD officers carry the ones that deploy, and they have worked well in difusing situations. I have the hand held one, and have yet to use it. Usually, if you just show it to them and snap it quick, they think twice about things. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
strangepair03 Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Very nice, thay would cut down on a lot of fights we have here. A punch should stay like a treasure in the sleeve. It should not be used indiscrimately.Kyan Chotoku Sensei
gzk Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Hmm...He doesn't move well, so I would think it best to get off the tracks and attack him from the sides. Inside leg kick to cross combo, or to outside head and arm control for some knees. He looks rather big and tall to be getting outside head control on though. I don't think I could get him in a head tie without eating punches either, but if I could find a way to knee him I definitely would. He's obviously not got the conditioning to deal with that. His balance doesn't look the best either and I would think a skilled grappler could shoot for the double-leg and bring him down. I'd also be looking to cut him up with elbows if I found myself close enough and safe enough to do so. Battling biomechanical dyslexia since 2007
NightOwl Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Almost all of his fights are vs street punks. I would never in a million years pretend to be able to beat him, but match him up against a top quality fighter and he loses a lot of his 'mystique'. Mind they have to be a GOOD fighter, but I don't see him becoming #1 in PRIDE/K-1/UFC at his current state Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.~Theodore Roosevelt
Rainbow_Warrior Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Yes.... He is a beast , but generally hits fat loosers or big guys with no skill ( look kimbo vs adrian..adrian is huge and fit..but punches like my big momma). ´´ The evil may win a round , but not the fight ´´
A_Train Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 i have seen kimbo beaten before because the guy he faught was actually a pro, not a streetfighter, i think his name was sean gannonSean Gannon wasn't really a pro, but was a Police Officer. He was offered a pro contract AFTER fighting Kimbo (and actually, due to fighting Kimbo). There is a lot of dispute into Gannon's win as well, as he was not fighting by the rules as Kimbo's Team intended. Unfortunately, Kimbo's team was not very good at writing up the contract. What they wanted was a striking match with no knees or elbows. They were caught off guard though, when Gannon attempt chokes/ect from the standing position (due to the contract stating no ground submissions, they weren't expecting them from the standup.)Anyways, Kimbo is a raw goon. But on no days of the week do I think he is as fast as me. I would outrun him without a second thought to my pride/ego/dignity. I play a wrestling game online. 50inches Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 If im gonna keep it real, I dont think that there is a person in here that can beat kimbo, if u want to, u could kick to the groin, if you miss and he gets a hold of you, its over. https://www.realistic-martial-arts.net
NightOwl Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 That's where grappling training comes in...too bad submissions on the ground are a nono (where I suspect is his greatest weakness). Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft.~Theodore Roosevelt
Jay Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I agree you wouldnt be able to im even smaller than you and i would only think about taking him on if i had no other choice or if i had alot of actual fighting experiance such a being some sort of champion and if i could hit like bruce because this guy wont go down easyRun away its safer The key to everything is continuity achieved by discipline.
