BLueDevil Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 (edited) Hey guys, just came across some news that (as the title suggests) Zuffa, the parent company of the UFC, has bought Pride. For those that dont know Pride is UFC's biggest competitor in the MMA market with several world class fighters. They are based out of Japan and are currently trying to break into the US market. I just wanted to see what your thoughts were on this. Good or bad for MMA? Just general thoughts would also be appreciated http://www.sherdog.com/news/news.asp?n_id=7087Heres the link if your interested Edited April 1, 2007 by BLueDevil There is no teacher but the enemy.
bushido_man96 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Wow, that is interesting. It appears that the market has been conveniently cornered as far as MMA competition goes now. However, will Pride stay seperate of the UFC, or will they begin to combine? I would like to see some UFC/Pride crossover matches, and that could happen more easily, now.I think that a major part of Pride's success is its involvement in Japan. I wonder if it will be moved more towards the U.S. now? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
