DWx
Well since there's been a lot of topics recently on blackbelt holders, I was wondering what everyone's belts look like. At our school they are 2" across with the person's name on one side and Tae Kwon Do embroided in gold on the other on it (both in korean and english). So what does everyone else have? And do the coloured belts differ greatly from the blackbelt? "Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius
baronbvp
My black belt says "Dockers" on it. Only as good as I make myself be, only as bad as I let myself be.Martial arts are like kinetic chess. Your move.

KarateEd
Just plain old black, no other markings, probably about 2" across (I'm at work and don't have it with me to get the actual measurement)Ed Ed
Rateh
Mine says "honor, respect, discipline, integrity" on one side in japanese in gold. The other side says the name of the style and my first initial and last name, also in gold. My instructor chose the embroidery. DWx
The 3rd stripe was just added on Thursday! congrats With the dan (or equivalent) system, how are everyone's ranks indicated on the belt? The most common ways I've seen are either roman numerals or a stripe per dan. Anyone come across anything different? ninjanurse
Our belts reflect our dan by a horitonal gold stripe-one for each dan. Above the stripe(s) is our name in English and on the other end of the belt is the system name in Chinese and Korean.
