Greek Fighter Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Has anybody ever heard of this Italian style martial art?. It's basically a Medieval type of fencing.
bushido_man96 Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 The name isn't familiar to me. However, I know that medieval fencing was popular in Italy, Spain, Europe, and Great Britain. They all have some weapons roots there. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
cathal Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Strangely enough yes, but I know nothing about it really. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
Sohan Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Here's a pretty good explanation of it. It's the first entry I found when I googled, but seems to do the trick:http://www.alliancemartialarts.com/nova.htmSounds interesting. With respect,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." Zen Master Nakahara Nantenbo"A man who has attained mastery of an art reveals it in his every action." Samuarai maxim"Knowing others is wisdom; knowing yourself is Enlightenment." Lao-Tzu

I know the names of DeLiberi, Marozzo, and DiGrassi. They were all Italian fencing masters. There is a rich, and effective, history in the Western martial arts, and I think exploring them in detail can be as beneficial as training in any other style. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
