Ti-Kwon-Leap Posted May 21, 2002 Posted May 21, 2002 There is only one TKD VS Muay Thai clip that keeps getting commented on and recycled (ad nauseum) the TKD fighter does nothing but a linear retreat. He uses no hand techniques and doesn't block. Disgraceful! _________________ "It is not enough to aim, you must hit." -Italian Proverb [ This Message was edited by: Ti-Kwon-Leap on 2002-05-21 02:20 ] Ti-Kwon-Leap"Annoying the ignorant since 1961"
Bretty101 Posted May 21, 2002 Posted May 21, 2002 Go and buy UFC1 on video this is the only time i've ever seen martial art on martial art. This was before everyone realised the importance of x-training. Boxing, savate, sumo, judo, karate, thai boxing, taekwondo, kung fu. I think Bretty
SuperMinh Posted May 21, 2002 Posted May 21, 2002 I think i've heard about a competition featuring Thai boxers against kung fu people quite a long time ago. Apparently, all fights were won by thai boxers because they were better conditioned and used to take more punishment. I don't know about the fights rules but if no locks or takedowns were allowed, it seems logical that kung fu people lost...
karatekid1975 Posted May 21, 2002 Posted May 21, 2002 My idea of martial artists from different styles getting together would be not to fight (yes I know it's popular), But to exange ideas and help one another. I like to see one big seminar with different martial artists showing a "strength" in there art, and sharing it with everyone else. Oldrookie, hehehehehe. Laurie F
