Chris05 Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 when kicking or punching is it better to have you body tilted foward or a little back.
jaymac Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 When I do either, I really try to keep my center of gravity. I keep my knees bent and head over rear. Obviously if you are doing a roundhouse or side kick etc..., you are going to be leaning back, but typically, I just try not to throw my balance off by leaning when it isn't necessary. A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.
bushido_man96 Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Your body should have a little bit of natural lean to it when kicking. However, when punching, if you lean back, you will take power and your body weight out of the punch. When punching, I try to keep my weight forward a little, of centered. It just depends on the situation. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
