What do you think about mace/pepper spray ?

I'd say it's got some down sides. If you use it in a confined area with lots of people, say on a train or in a hallway(happened to me in high school), it's going to effect everybody, possibly even yourself. Also, I've seen some people shrug off pepper spray. That being said, I've never actually had to use it myself. But it works just fine in some situations.

I think you may use the mace and then hit the bad guy , and look if the man has some cold weapon or a gun

I tried the mace against a piece of paper , and some of the fog came to me...I have some very light dificulty to breath. I was 3 feet away from the sheet.

So is true that you may intoxicate yourself in a small place.

I ´ve heard of some cops in many countries using a form of mace.

Here , they use mace sometimes , and mace grenades.

Like any weapon there are of course going to be good and bad points about it so just keep in mind there's no such thing as the perfect weapon.

Having said that though you WOULD prefer a weapon that has a chance of causing only light damage to an enemy rather than heavy damage to yourself, frankly stunguns are better, I do confess though that when I clicked this topic I though it was going to be about the massive old eauropean ball and chain spiky thing mace, and not the spray, still, good topic, not an advocate of the stuff myself though
