G95champ Posted May 19, 2002 Posted May 19, 2002 I don't know what kata that style uses but almost every style as you pointed out has a kata much like the first Heian. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
krozor Posted May 21, 2002 Author Posted May 21, 2002 Thanks for the Welcome Well luckily I managed to arrange to meet one of the other karate members at the club 15mins earlier than normal to give me a chance to practice the kata. And when the lesson actually started I got paired with a guy who was having problems doing the same kata as me, so for half the lesson we just praticed and practiced until we got it right every time. Then the time came to do the kata in front of the whole class I managed to do it right and my sensei said it was a good effort I just need to be a bit more fluid and to look more like I know which direction I am going(lol). The other guy did well too only making one mistake. When we did the kata we moved in a I direction, going from left to right then up the middle and so on. All in all I really enjoyed it, and thanks again guys for your help. [ This Message was edited by: krozor on 2002-05-21 16:28 ]
