Zorro Posted July 31, 2001 Posted July 31, 2001 hello, my name is... (I love these words, they sound like those stickers in the beging of Fight Club...) hello my name is Zorro, I am almost 30, french writer, becoming also a web-designer/webmaster, I have a black belt of Viet Vo Dao (vietnamese) but I stopped practising for a while, and spend my time reading, writing, clicking, and smoking joints. As some people do their yoga, or meditation, or pray, I do a bit of Iaï-Do... Also FASCINATED by Kung Fu Styles, though I know none... When I see the drunken man style, or some bird forms, by some shaolin monk on tv, I almost cry...

thaiboxerken Posted August 17, 2001 Posted August 17, 2001 - all kind of bodybuilding - all sort of american-gym-karate - harshness of formal japanese karate Bodybuilding is great. I love it! I can't understand why you don't like it, but I can guess that you are the type of person that can't get big.. or you are a powerlifter and have a big gut. You don't like american gyms.. I don't like 80% of the martial arts training in the world. I can somewhat agree with that, but there are many American martial arts programs that kick butt, particularly in MMA/UFC type of events. Another reason I can guess that you don't like American gyms is because you are French.. I have been to France and know how many French people feel about America and Americans. It's truly sad the the USA saved France from Germany, the French imitate USA fashion and lifestyle and yet the French think that they are better than us. Oh well.. let the French think what they want. I have to agree with you on the last opinion. I feel most Japanese and Korean arts are too choppy and lack fluidity of motion. It is probably the military type of attitude that keeps it this way. KIAHH!! Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
