TKFO187 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 I was wondering if anyone might know of any schools nearby Woodbridge, New Jersey that teach the style of Jeet Kune Do? This would be very helpful. Also, one of my friends is interested in taking up Hapkido and he asked me to describe the styles characteristics, but I wasn't really sure how to. Could anyone give me a hand here?
bushido_man96 Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Hapkido is kind of like a Korean version of Jujitsu. Lots of joint locks and takedowns, but not too much grappling, that I can think of. Can't help you with the JKD place, though. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

As for hapkido , i have done it and i would compare it very closely to KJJ or korean ju-jitsu. I think that there is no 1 style , and that to truly become a great martial artist and person you must take information from where ever you can.
