Mister vee
Well I've been looking around my area and what I am basically looking for it an art form thats more offensive and in tune with more striking then grappling. I have some kung fu places around me, but the one that sticks out the most is a kenpo dojo down the street from me. The instructor has a good reputation and its a parker -planas lineage. What is most important is what i want to achieve from this. I want to learn self defense, and most importantly I want to be able to spar alot and learn an art form. I would also like to enter tournaments as well and compete. So I ask is this a good choice for me, or should I concider something else?
MisterRadley
From what you said, it sounds like the kenpo class would be a great choice. Most importantly, I think that the instructor and quality of the school are equally, if not more important than the style.Good luck in your training,Jack
bushido_man96
You should go down to the dojo, ask to watch a class, and then afterwards, you should ask each of these questions to the instructor. He should give you straight-up answers. Each school is different, and so is each instructor. We can tell you what we think the school would be like, based on our knowledge of other kempo schools, however, this school could be different.Go check it out, and let us know what he says. Best of luck to you! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
