blade1116 Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I have studied Hapkido fo 8 years and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Please let's have plenty of discussions on Hapkido. There can never be too much. The most successful battle is the one in which you master yourself.
bushido_man96 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 I've enjoyed my time with Hapkido so far, and think it has lots to offer. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
isshinryu5toforever Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Their website is Altoonakarate, but they teach Taekwondo and Hapkido? They might want to consider a website name change. As far as Hapkido, I have dabbled in it here and there. I think it's a lot of fun and it definitely has things to offer as far as unique movement and power production. Do they teach wrist locks as real self defense in your school? He who knows others is wise. He who knows himself is enlightened.- Tao Te Ching"Move as swift as a wind, stay as silent as forest, attack as fierce as fire, undefeatable defense like a mountain."- Sun Tzu, the Art of War
tufrthanu Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Many taekwondo schools list themselves as karate schools due to the historic link to karate and the popularity of it over the years. My school is Bloomington Karate Center and they are one of the top TKD/HKD schools in the upper midwest. Long Live the Fighters!
blade1116 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 I love Hapkido, but the thing about it is that it is not as widely popular as some styles(eg Taekwondo). But it is a great art. The most successful battle is the one in which you master yourself.
