DirecTV DVR

Does anyone have one? I was considering it, but I read reviews for the unit and they just looked pretty poor, so I am holding off.

Although I am intriqued by the idea of recording programs onto DVDs, I am still not sure I have a use for it, yet.

We don't have DirecTV, so I guess it doesn't really apply to me as much. However, there are units that we can purchase to record on DVDs. However, we don't record much of anything anymore.

I don't really have experience with DVR, but you record to a hard drive in the unit usually, I think. I guess you could maybe transfer to a DVD from there?

Yeah, I think you are right. No disc involved. You could probably transfer it later, but I don't know what the process would be.
