Arys Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 So I'm looking into checking this place out, I'm wondering if anyones ever heard of it. I know theres one in Chicago too. Its called: Song's Kung Fu Academy.http://www.songskungfu.comThe head instructor is Grandmaster Keychun Song from what I could figure out. They seem to have ALOT of styles under one roof and that never seems legit to me... But I dunno, looking for any kind of feedback here thanks ^^.I'll probably stop by there some time this week, but till then ill be looking to see if any of you can dig up anything on these guys.
elbows_and_knees Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I know someone in champaign who trains mantis. It may be the same school.
Arys Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 ah good good, please ask if you can. I'm pretty sure there arent any other mantis schools here.
bushido_man96 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Go watch a class, and see what you think. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
ARADOX Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 *Shudders violently* Mantis practitioners scare the living crap outta me, they NEVER blink during combat and they look so calm It's just like they're dead or something, scary stuff, fought one once, not pleasant experienc, thought for some reason i wanna do it again I wish I wish I hadn't killed that fish
granmasterchen Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 mantis, tiger and eagle claw make for a very interesting fighting style when solely focusing on kung fu based arts That which does not destroy me will only make me stronger
a_ninja Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 It looks like a pretty good school if you ask me. I think you could ask if you could try it for a while and see if you wanted to join. the best fight is one that doesnt happen
