NightOwl Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I voted 5 or more, counting only arts I trained in for 2 years or more.muay thaijudobjjlongfistkaratetang soo dokali/jkdThat's quite an impressive list! Looks like you've got everything covered. I put in 3, but the only MA that I stuck with for awhile was TKD up until Highschool, but I eventually quit because I saw that in my gym I was gaining rank but just because I could get the belt didn't mean that I was improving in skill. I was out of MA for awhile, and during my Senior year tried out Wing Chun but only for 2.5 months...I was very impressed by the teacher and the art (still find myself referencing some of the basic trapping and centerline foucas now and then) but it wasn't for me. I then did boxing/striking at a MMA gym for 2 months and loved it, but had to stop due to college. I hope to restart MA soon... Sohan Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I take Ashido Kim Ninjitsu and I love it. ..................OK, maybe not........Actually, I have training of 2-3 years or more in each of Okinawan Karate-do, BJJ, MT, Hung Gar Gung Fu, Tang Soo Do, TKD, and Boxing. I never wrestled competively but have trained with and volunteer coached a local high school team here for the past 10 years.Karate, BJJ, Gung Fu, and MT are my main loves and what I train currently....in my spare time. With respect,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth." Dazed and Confused Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I take Ashido Kim Ninjitsu and I love it. Unfortunately there's nowhere that teaches this near me or my search for the perfect art would indeed be over...I put in one, the TKD I studied up till a couple of years ago. Come New Year however it'll be at least two EDITED to improve appalling grammar

cross Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 1. Aikido2. 2 styles of Karate.3. Boxing.Currently not training in martial arts. Train at home doing various things with the goals of self defence, fitness and strength. Im finding i can achieve a much better workout etc from the training i am doing now. Boxing was good(although the school was competition focused so the trainer didnt want much to do with you if you didnt want to compete), but the other martial arts didnt have much to offer me in achieving my goals.

MizuRyu Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Started in Kyokushin, then took BJJ soon after I found a school. Had to move out of state, took up Aikido and Wing Chun. Moved again, took White Crane, moved on to Ving Tsun and Tang Soo Do. Gave up Tang Soo Do for Ryu-te. Now, I'm taking Muay Thai and Judo. So technically 10. My real problem is finding a school with a competent instructor, which I've finally done! "They look up, without realizing they're standing in the palm of your hand""I burn alive to keep you warm"
