ps1
chokes are good, very hard to get out off before they drop of to sleepOnce again, while choke holds are among the most effective techniques in the arsenal, they tend to be disallowed in the law enforcement arena. I may have to do some checking, though. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
bushido_man96
Thanks, everyone, for the advise. I understand what you are saying about the throws and such, ps1, but hey, if we are struggling, and it causes a "fall," then oh well for the bad guy. Most of the time, we do have several of us around, and if someone is in a cell area, and we need to move them out, we will call up several more people to help out.bingo. Contact with the ground is incidental. If we are fighting and you fall, oh well. It's drastically different from striking a person.I definitely agree with you guys about the numbers though - italways makes things easier.Yeah, especially since we aren't allowed to strike at all, except for maybe a shin-kick to the nerve on the outside of the leg (common peroneal?). https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
glockmeister
Being a correctional officer myself I will tell you that knowing a few good footsweeps is priceless, it tends to catch them unaware and it's always good to get them on the ground and maintain control untill your backup arrives which should be very quickly. I never bothered much with Aikido style wristlocks and the like unless you pretty much already habe the situation de-esculated and are just maintaining control if the perp should decide to start getting squirrely again, you just apply more pressure.
