P.A.L
I have a good defense attorney. I am innocent. There is evidence and testimony that corroborates my innocence I will not run away... Sometimes the justice system wrongly convicts innocent people. After a couple days in county, all I could think of was what was going to happen when someone wants to rape or stab me? I am a kid for my age.I want some advice from this community.I want to prepare myself for the worst case scenario.i understand that you are very concern and don't wanna hear kinda Dr. Phil advice, so i get to the point first.2 months is long enough, you gotta start running make a goal of running 3 miles under 24 min. as for fighting , you need somebody to teach you some practical boxing and knife defense.remember wind can break a strong tree but it can't break a tiny stem of a wild grass , it bends and it stands up again. ps1
Fighting in prison is not the smartest thing to do. Best bet is to learn how to keep your head down.Excellent advice! jaymac
Hopefully, if you are innocent, your attorney will keep you from seeing any prison time. Becoming proficient at any style takes years of training and you only have 2 months. Maybe looking into a course that teaches how to get out of situations quickly (honestly like a female rape prevention course) may be a quick fix,or even look into a kickboxing class, not a cardio kick boxing for weight loss, but a serious, hitting bags type of class. needskill
I would like to thank all of you for the advice.I know that it is best to keep head down and keep to myself, but in the place I might be going there will be predators looking for easy prey.I don't want to become the 'Karate Kid'. I just want to know how to throw a real punch or kick out an attackers legs.Boxing? I don't think that everyone in the pen goes by the rules.after doing more research, I think NHB is the kind of stuff I will want to learn.but keep all of the advice coming. (I am trying to condition myself by running every day. Thanks P.A.L)
SBN Doug
I think you misunderstand the boxing suggestion. Some of the hardest guys to fight in a street situation are experienced boxers. You learn the techniques, and in the necessary situations you ignore the rules. Knuckle Dragger
I don't know if I should even respond to this but this is what I would tell a cop or soldier going into a combat zone who did not know anything. I would suggest taking boxing, kickboxing, or muay thai. One of these arts are usually available in most areas and they teach the following things right away. How to take punishment, how to train your body for fighting, and how to hit someone with bad intentions. You should get a trainer and train like your going to fight in a boxing match in 2 months. if he/she is any kind of trainer and you are in any kind of shape you should be in fighting shape if you go to prison. But the training will be very intense you may prefer what they do to you in prison. Victory or a reasonable alternative.
bushido_man96
Boxing would be a good idea. When you learn the rules, you can always break them.Seriously, though, I think you are going to be fighting more than one person more often then not, and their really is not much good advise as far as this goes. Several things can happen. 1, you get whipped, bad. 2, you take out the knee of one, get additional assault and batter charges, and extend your visit. 3, you get into a one on one, and don't get stabbed, and you get solitary or something. 4, you get into a fight, make it out ok, but next time, they stab you with a shank. Not good for you.I really hope you don't go to jail. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

shukokai2000
I have been accused of a crime. I might go to prison. I am 23 years old 5'10'', 180 and a little out of shape. I also look young for my age and helpless. If I go to prison I will not be able to defend myself. I am out on bail for the next two months and want to learn how to fight. How can I find a legitimate private crash course class in my area?what is the best dicipline to learn? (shoot wrestling? muy thai?)is it possible to be formidable in two months?I'd suggest you ask to be put in protection wing, as you sound like your not ready to go inside , let alone protect yourself from hardend criminals.may i ask what time frame are you looking at to be away from us.. you don't have to answer
