Hart Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Did anyone catch that spectacular ending to the Hughes-St. Pierre fight on Saturday? I knew he could do it! The roundhouse kick to the head totally knocked Matt Hughes out cold.
Ace2021 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I saw it, it left me disappointed, not for Matt Hughes sake, but it was pretty much domination. If you re-watch it you can tell he knows he's going to lose, hugging people around him like he's going to war or something.. A New Age Dawns
ShotokanKid Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 He hugged his guys before the Gracie fight and he dominated that fight.I love GSP. He is my favorite fighter in the UFC. Symphony-x Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I just loved the superman punch Was a fairly one sided fight tho, but GSP will dominate his weight catagory i think Willing - Believing - AchievingOrange Belt: Freestyle/Sport Karate - Kickboxing - Boxing
Ace2021 Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 He hugged his guys before the Gracie fight and he dominated that fight.I love GSP. He is my favorite fighter in the UFC.True, forgot about that. I don't know I just kind of knew he was going to lose when he came out. Maybe it was his theme song compared to GSPs. A New Age Dawns
BLueDevil Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Made me very happy that night, I like when belts change hands. Its good for the sport, it forces fighters to get better. There is no teacher but the enemy.
granmasterchen Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 not too hard to win after you kick a guy in the groin a couple times in a row....im looking forward to another rematch....hopefully without any kicks to the groin to spoil your fighting spirit..... That which does not destroy me will only make me stronger
BLueDevil Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Hughes could have taken more time to recover and both kicks happened in the first round where Hughes lost in the second, I dont think they affected the outcome. Maybe Hughes composure suffered but its risk you take walking into the octagon. There is no teacher but the enemy.
Ace2021 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 It should be noted that after the fight, Matt admitted in an interview that the second kick didn't hit his groin. It numbed his leg so he faked it. A New Age Dawns
