Adonis Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Wow! I took a private lesson with Rodrigo Vaghi, for those of you who don't know him he is a Rickson Gracie Black belt who teaches in Saint Louis, Missouri. He is amazing Teacher, Any basic technique and he will give you tons of detail on how to make it even more better and work for you. Very gifted teacher. Expensive though, but defiently worth it. On that note any one have any experience training with him or train with him?
bushido_man96 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Cool. Sounds like a good time! I would love to have the opportunity to learn some BJJ. I have a brother that lives in the St. Louis area, maybe I can board up there for a year or so! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Adonis Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 that would be good. Rodrigo is great person to learn from. Alot of DEEP knowlege about how to make BJJ work for the indvidual. He doesn't just do what alot of guys do. Just teach moves that take alot of flexiblity to work from. So diffrent ages, and diffrent type of physical attributes, or lack of. LOL! You can still do the moves and make them work for you
bushido_man96 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 He sounds like a very good instructor. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
ps1 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Any high ranking student that Rickson produced is amazing. I'm affiliated with Pedro Sauer (6th Degree under Rickson). The detail he puts into stuff is amazing. I was talking to Royler about him at a seminar. Royler said that in Brazil when Pedro rolls, everyone stops to watch. Pedro says he still can't come close to tapping or gaining much advantage on Rickson though. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
Adonis Posted November 19, 2006 Author Posted November 19, 2006 I know I heard Filho from Brazilian Top team rolled with Rickson recently and he said he has never rolled with any one like that before. Rickson is great and taking away a persons space. So they can't move well. He is only 185 but amazing condition and his technique, timing and his other attribues just make him Amazing! All he does is basic techniques but he does them so well no one can stob him that much. Its amazing Filho says that since he rolls with guys like Nogeriea brothers, and Mario Sperry, Murilo Bustamante and Ricardo Arona and other people. Those guys are top notch of the game. ADCC Champs, and MMA, and BJJ champs so its pretty amazing. Pedro Sauer I heard alot of good things about. He was voted by Abu Dhabi combat club the most technical instructor a few years back. Your training with a good person.
ps1 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 He's awesome. I just wish he was closer. Being an affiliate is nice because we see him two or three times a year. But I wish I could be in his school training with him all the time. Maybe one day. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
Adonis Posted December 28, 2006 Author Posted December 28, 2006 Yeah he is awesome. Doesn't hold any thing back. Really helps people learn and get a good understanding of Jiu-Jitsu.
