There have been a few discussions about the advantages and disadvantages of the different woods out there and I just wanted to share I website that I found:

This has a chart that shows the attributes of many different types of woods from around the world. These include weight, hardness, finishing and more. I hope people find it useful. If nothing else, it's interesting.
