Hi all

Does anyone else study this type of Karate just curious as this is the style that i study and would be grateful if someone could give me some background info on it.

Oh and if anyone has any good sites on the history of Budokan or Karate in general that would be swell. My sensi (one day i will spell this right!!) always tells us the history of moves etc but sometimes i wish i could find out much more about the early history. (sorry if theres been a post like this before - im still a young pup in this forum)

I have not heard of this style before, I'm afraid. As for histories this website has a good write up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karate

.

of its own accord before there are any actual

hostilities...It is best to win without fighting.

I'm no expert on the style, but I have seen some Budokan people perform kata at a tournament. They did the Heian series and called them "Heians" so they undoubtedly descend from Shotokan somehow.
