Protagonist
Do any of you have any book recommendations for a karate student, that's been away from karate for about five months, which can be used to help do at-home karate training? I'm looking for ways to improve mostly on kicking and punching that doesn't need the use of expensive equipment.Thank-you in advance. If this is in the wrong section of the forums, I'll just get the administrator to move it.

cathal
I can't think of a particular book to match this one. But the book sticky is a great resource. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
Rig
I know it's not exactly what you are looking for as the book isn't an instructional book but never the less it's a great read for any Karate-ka, full of inspiring words.Waking Dragons by Goran PowellAmazon UK Link:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Waking-Dragons-Martial-Artist-Ultimate/dp/1840245131/sr=8-1/qid=1165415743/ref=pd_ka_1/203-1366382-2923940?ie=UTF8&s=books -- Righttps://www.AtherstoneKarate.co.uk
Jiffy
Stick to the Nakayama books. They are the best general ones I've seen. For kata, see if you can get hold of any Eneoda books, but they are getting rare these days. The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.
