daizyblackbelt
i have a tournament coming up this weekend.i've just recently recovered (2 weeks ago) from a nasty case of mono that kept me from practicing for about a month, so i'm still feeling a little iffy about competing. I've been given the ok by my doctor to compete (no more danger of rupturing my spleen now that the symptoms are all gone), but i still don't feel quite comfortable moving in sparring situation, and my energy isn't what it normally is.Kata i'm not too worried about. Chatanyara Kusanku (Suparenpei backup) for empty hand, and Ryubi No Kun (Nakan Dakiri for backup) for weapons.Thankfully it's an in style tournament (shudokan only) and everyone knows everyone else. it's so much fun, there's an air of FRIENDLY competition unlike some tournaments that i go to, so i'm not too worried. But wish me luck all the same!PS, any of you Shudokan people from the NW attending the tournament in yakima this weekend? bushido_man96
Best of luck to you! Hopefully, the time off won't hurt your energy systems too much. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
cathal
If you don't feel up to sparring then don't compete in that area, I think. Better to wait, train, and come back when you feel better. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
