wolfen
I think he could have given a little more accent to the slowed moves... they lacked a well defined end... that's just me being hypercritical though.
ff100
I thought it was spot on. Did he win?
Yasutsune Makoto
very pretty. After one watch the only thing I noticed was that the transitions had a lot of excess motion in them. He moves so fast though, very sharp. Beautiful competition kata. Does he do any heavy kata (AKA Sochin, Jion, Jitte, etc.)? That would be a very different look, it would be interesting to see. username8517
too hard from okinawan karate perspective.Agreed. Also it was hard to see if any hip was being used when he was going through the kata. Through the bunki it was obvious he was not, but hard to tell in his full speed version. Stylistic differences I guess
Tokkan
This guy is Luca Valdesi 5th Dan Shotokan and 2006 World Kata Champion.I have also seen him perform Unsu, Heian Kata's, Kanku Sho, Gojushiho Sho, Tekki Katas and he is equally dynamic. bushido_man96
I thought that he looked very impressive. The youtube video probably doesn't do him complete justice. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

RichardHangHong
Like bearich said, it was hard to see if he was using his hips that much.Looks good from an asthetic point of view though. Very quick and strong. But my personal preference is for the non-competition styled performed katas. Syphax
I think the bottom line is there were a few small flaws, as with everyone's forms, but he was pretty darn incredible.
