tessone Posted May 8, 2002 Posted May 8, 2002 The achievements thread got me to thinking: what kinds of goals (either short-term or long-term) do you have in martial arts and fitness in general? Chris TessoneBrown Belt, Kuk Sool Won
tessone Posted May 8, 2002 Author Posted May 8, 2002 To answer my own question: My short-term goals are:Improve overall cardio-vascular fitness to the point where I'm not getting winded during a workout at the dojangGet my yellow belt by the end of the school yearGain some definition and better muscle tone My long-term goals are:Gain a black belt in Kuk Sool Won. The very-long-term goal in sight would be to never stop training and someday become a Kwang Jang Nim.Improve flexibility (test: be able to do the splits!)Eat healthier to lose fat and gain weight in muscleLearn Korean Chris TessoneBrown Belt, Kuk Sool Won
rabid hamster Posted May 8, 2002 Posted May 8, 2002 there was a thread like this before, but anywho. I have lots of goals, but my main one would be short term- lose some pounds, get faster, and maybe start up another art. also to spend more time with my dog. long term-get all A's from next year(8th) to 12th grade, and all A's after that... get a good job. It is only with the heart that one can see clearly, for the most essential things are invisible to the eye.
