ArisuTanaka Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I would have to say double hooked sword, it's fun, and practical. I like the bo...but it is sometimes hard for me to practice in small spaces, such as in a house. If i were to choose a wood weapon it would be 24 inch escrimas/kali/arnise(the pair of sticks). You'll totally agree with me when you see "ong bak tai warrior"-movie! "Never leave that to tomorrow for which you can do today." -Ben. Frank.
Neo Dragon Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Well if you wanted to say the ultimate weapon then that would be the atomic bomb. LOL but although I dont train or even own one I think that the Naginata is one of my favorite weapons, because it combines the use of both a bo staff and a sword. I also like its chinese counter part, the kwan dao.
armanox Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Hmm....Let's see.Non-bladed:Eastern Weapon - SaiWestern - QuarterstaffBladed:Eastern - KatanaWestern - Longsword "Karate is NOT about the colour of belt you wear it is about the person you become;...to be a good blackbelt is to be humble and respectful amongst other things." -Dobbersky
tke010 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Hand down, your BRAIN (Mind) is your most important weapon.you cant talk your way out of something without using it.you can't fight without using it.could not have produced any other weapons with out it (Examples: atomic bomb, sword, Jo staff, escrima, martial arts, guns,... Fear does not exist in this Dojo, does it! No Sensai!!!Pain does not exist in this Dojo, does it! No Sensai!!!

You'll totally agree with me when you see "ong bak tai warrior"-movie! A hook sword is practical?? walk around in the open with one - in stores, in front of cops, etc. and see how practical it is. A knife is practical. my bullet proof glass knucks are practical. OC spray is practical. Most traditional weapons, while fun to use and great to train with are not practical at all.
joemar Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 me i prefered knife because it easy to concealed and it make handybo nahhh Every Day is a lesson
Jeet Kune Do Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Though the Nunchaku are my favourite.... I would have to say the Sansetsukon (Three sectional staff)... from what i saw in Fight science, i would say that this is the ultime, if not then the Katana (Samurai Sword) A drop of sweat spent in practice is a drop of blood saved in a battle.A person who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the man doing it.

I would have to say the Sansetsukon (Three sectional staff)... from what i saw in Fight science, i would say that this is the ultime, if not then the Katana (Samurai Sword) I didn't particularly enjoy that scene in Fight Science on trying to find the "Ultimate Weapon." I though it was silly, and inconclusive. That, and all they demonstrated was fancy wu-shu type movements, irrelevant to actual combat. Except for maybe Inosanto, who impressed me with the sticks. He said it himself; it isn't the weapon, but the wielder's skill with it. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
a_ninja Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Well besides the sniper rifle the samurai sword the best fight is one that doesnt happen
Jay Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 KATANA hands down will beat anything except maybe a BO but that can be cut up. Weapon really is irrelivant its the skill of the user a skilled user of say the fans could take down someone with a stronger weapon eg a sword The key to everything is continuity achieved by discipline.
