azgunowner Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 From the sandy desert in Arizona. My username gives me away, but I've interested in edged and some non-edged weapons for quite sometime, my favorites are the Bo Staff, Sai, Katana and rope/metalic linked whip (yea thats it the whip with a tassle on the other end ) . My profession permits and it is encouraged to tote a concealed handgun I carry Government 1911 .45 or a glock .40, in an undercover shoulder rig. Its 4th down a list from Military, Cops, Taxy cab drivers, then Real Estate Agents. Its not where I live or work its what I have to go thru to get to there.I have trained with fixed bayonets in the Army-its not much, but a last resort should I find myself unarmed or out of ammo. I'd like to learn at least one alternative self-defensive art, I can even realize that using my Sidearm to defuse just any situation maybe too much. I've had my fair share of bad luck, and bad people. The website https://www.teamryouko.com just feeds me even more desire-at least the art of using the weapons correctly. Well thats all about me in the readers digest version.

TigerDude Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Welcome aboard! If you think only of hitting, springing, striking or touching the enemy, you will not be able actually to cut him. You must thoroughly research this. - Musashi
