lordtariel
If actual violence were occuring I would have to intervene... carefully. I'd try to draw attention to what's going on, sometimes that's enough to get the person to run. If not, at least you have witnesses that aren't so messed up in the head that they'd defend the attacker and blame you. I don't think I could live with myself if I did nothing. Zorbasan
i would only get involved if there was violence involved. if they are just yelling then dont worry about it.here is a question. there is alot of people saying that they would get involved if the guy was hitting the girl.would you still get involved if the chick was hitting the guy? what if the chick was bigger than the guy?it does happen, it just doesnt get the publicity that violence against women gets. Now you use head for something other than target.
bushido_man96
Thats a good point you bring up, Zorbasan. I think I would try to break it up, even if the girl was doing the beating. However, it would depend on the number of people involved, and how many are around. It would also depend on what I knew about them, like if one was a criminal, or what not.You have to be careful, though. You may be trying to break up a fight, and then the next thing you know, you are fighting them off of you! And if the cops show up, all they are going to see is one big fight, and everyone involved will get arrested. You wouldn't want that to happen, just trying to be the good Samaratan! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
jaymac
Again, getting involved no matter who is hitting who is a bad idea. We have been warned in this area to watch out for people doing this (fighting). When someone intervenes on behalf of the "victim", they turn on the individual trying to help and take his/her belongings. It was a scam the whole time. Just call the cops and let them now from a distance that you did. A great martial artist is one who is humble and respectful of others.
ShotokanTre
I'd pull in the parking lot and go get something and then act like I was looking for the right CD or whatever then follow them out of parking lot for a while to see where they went. Or if they got loud , call the police in the parking lot. If he said/did something I thought was out of line, I would intervere on behalf of the woman in dis-stress One More Time

Also, in regards to what Shotokan-Tre mentions, intervening on behalf of the woman may get you no where, because half of the time they won't press charges against their significant other. And as I said before, when the cops show up, eveyone usually goes to the station. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Zorbasan
if i saw a fight that looked incredibly 1 sided, and i thought i had the ability to break it up, 1 big against one small, or 2 on 1 i would try to. if i thoguht that i wouldnt be able to make a difference, i would probably leave it alone and contact the authorities. Also, you want to keep in mind if you have friends around, that can tell your side of the story for you, because the more people you have to go to bat for you, the better off your chances of minimizing the amount of trouble you get into, if any. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Jiffy
While it's verbal, leave it that way and stay out of it. I have interveined in this situations only to find the man and the woman both having a go at me. You can't save everyone, let it be.If it turns physical, you may need to re-evaluate the situation. The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.
The Kyokushin punisher
Id keep driveing...here is my Reason why...lately in our city that situation was going on and soon as a guy pulled up and offered help when he left his vehicle she would make the signal to her friends or gang friends or whatever and then they would all pile up and beat the crap outta him...
