Amari Cooper was traded to the Bills this week as well.  Rumor has it that Mike Williams could be on the way out, and that is a receiver KC could afford to pick up.

I also wonder how safe McCarthy's job is after that debacle against the Lions.  That game should have at least been competitive.

Looks like McCarthy is definitely on the hot seat.  Expect him and Doug Peterson to be added to the list of fired head coaches this season unless some major turnaround happens.  Same thing with Browns coach Kevin Stefanski, who will be the fall man for the terrible decision by the Browns to trade for Watson.  Watson has been a disaster, and that trade is already a giant L for Cleveland, but depending on how it plays out it could get even worse and be among the worst trades in sports history.

Troy Aikman took issue with the Cowboys' wide receivers as to how they've preformed these past 6 weeks. Calling the Cowboys' wide receivers "lazy" and ridiculing them by saying "they run terrible routes". Troy most assuredly, imho, has the right to speak his mind because Troy's a former Dallas QB and Pro Football Hall of Famer.

I feel bad for Stefanski.  He's had a stellar defense there for the past few years that is being squandered on a pitiful offense that I'm not sure he's to blame for.  Watson is just bad, bad, bad.  I didn't expect this to carry on for 3 seasons.  Unfortunately, he's being paid so much guaranteed money, it's not a shock the ownership want to see him on the field.  However, I think W's are better.

Raiders have already trade. Davante Adams was traded to the Jets for a conditional 3rd round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. I understand the Raiders reason for the trade, kind of, but with a hamstring injury, that many Raiders believe have already healed, I don't think a 3rd round pick is a good enough reason. I've seen Adams make some great and reliable catches this season. Raiders actions on the field have them in dead last place in the AFC West at 2-4, and at this pace, the Raiders will be out of contention more sooner than later.

We'll see what happens when the Raider face off against the hosting Rams. Anymore Raider losses, we might be reading that Antonio Pierce has been fired for cause.

We all know that Watson is a loser, and anyone reasonable knew it was bat crap crazy for the Browns to do what they did, though I don't know of anyone who thought it would be this bad.  I agree that the ownership is being stubborn, either due to the sunk cost fallacy or the delusion of thinking Watson gives them the best chance to win.  He doesn't.  I'd love to see the coach bench him anyway, even at the risk of getting canned.  Stefanski is likely fired at the end of the season based on how it is going, so he could at least put his team in the best position to win while he still has a job. I do not think that will happen, and I understand why he doesn't, but would love to see it.  Browns are getting exactly what they signed up for with Watson.  Possibly the dumbest decision by a major sports team in the history of the world.

As for the Raiders, there are rumors that Crosby is on the trading block, possibly going to Detroit so the Lions can make up the loss of Hutch.  With Adams gone, Crosby is the only player the Raiders have right now who possess high trade value.  Might be time to trade him, get some draft picks, and go full rebuild.  Raiders won't be competitive this year, so with a new coach and new QB it would make sense to do it.

By the way, the Patriots and Jaguars play in London this weekend, just in case anyone wants to wake up early on Sunday and watch the two worst teams in the AFC.

Lions win a close game in Minnesota, kicking a field goal with 15 seconds left to win it 31-29 and moving into first place.

Browns lost and Watson was injured, apparently for the season with a torn ACL, at least that was the early report.

Adams did play for the Jets on Sunday night, but it didn't help much, the Steelers won 37-15.  Another disappointing night for gang green. The Jets play the Patriots on Sunday, the worst team in the AFC, so they should get a win there, but they better turn it around and fast now that they are 2-5.

With the Vikings loss and the Chiefs winning against the 49ers, KC is now 6-0 and the only unbeaten team left. The Chiefs play in Vegas next week against the struggling Raiders who of course are without Adams and could be without Crosby by Sunday.

41 points for the Ravens tonight who are now 5-2, winning five in a row.  They are tied in first with Pittsburgh. Tampa drops to 4-3.  Bad sequence late in the half for Tampa as Mayfield throws a pick in the end zone and the Ravens go down and kick a FG before halftime. Tampa is tied in first with Atlanta. Cardinals also defeated the Chargers 17-15 in the AZ. Or the Zona.  Whichever you prefer.

I thought the Bucs/Ravens game would be a lot closer.  Ravens really took it to them.

I hadn't heard about the possibility of trading Crosby.  That'll be interesting to see play out.

Chiefs players are dropping like flies; Juju will miss at least another week, and DB Jaylen Watson is out for the rest of the year with a fractured leg.  Can Spags keep it going?  I think so.

I saw that the Rams are shopping Cooper Kupp.  I think he'd be a good pickup for KC, but he's got an injury history, and the Chiefs don't need any more of that.  That was a heck of a defensive game against the 49ers, and Mahomes was Mahomes exactly when he needed to be.  The Raiders could be a tough out this weekend.  Always tough to play the division rival.

Raiders signed Desmond Ridder off Cardinals practice squad after Aidan O'Connell injury. Ridder will back up Minshew, who was demoted from starter to backup prior to Week 6, and is now the starter again...who might be demoted once again due to the Raiders loss to the Rams. Woe-is-the-Raiders.

GO COWBOYS!!
