Chiefs lost another receiver to injury after Xavier Worthy collided with Travis Kelce.  Worthy has a dislocated shoulder with no time-table to return.  Rashee Rice is on suspension for the first 6 games of the season, so the word is that Hollywood Brown's receiving role will be expanded.  And once again, some younger receivers will probably be playing more often.  I think they need to get Smith-Schuster some more targets.  He was looking pretty good, and is a solid veteran.

The Carolina Panthers have fired Charlie Rock, a member of their communications department, for positing comments deemed insensitive and inappropriate.  I wish some teams would be as quick to punish their players for off the field actions as the Panthers were to fire Rock.

Couple of big games already here in week 2.  The Cowboys and Giants, both are 0-1 and both of them were losses in the division.  Starting the season 0-2 in the division is tough and puts you behind the 8 ball.  Same for the Lions and Bears who face off in Detroit on Sunday.  Packers are already 2-0, beating Detroit and Washington, two of the top NFC teams last year.

The Chiefs have a tough schedule to start the year, first playing the Chargers in Brazil and now coming home to face the Eagles.  A loss for KC would put them in a 0-2 hole to start the year, something that a team can spend the rest of the season trying to crawl out of.

In survival league this week I picked the Steelers, thinking they should win at home against the Seahawks.  I almost picked the Ravens, who are playing the Browns, which would also be a good pick.  Or the Bills who are visiting the Jets.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!

What a way to have your season opener by having it televised.

Raiders, 1-0, host the Chargers 1-0 in Las Vegas. One of these by the end of their game will be 1-1…and the other will be 2-0.

This should be a barn burner.

GO COWBOYS!!

I was the only person in our survival league the pick the Steelers who are about to lose to Seattle.  I guess I deserve the L.  I could have picked the Ravens or Bills which were no brainers, but of course I had to overthink it.  Idiot.

Bills or Bucs for survivor league this week.  Anyone?  :???: Bills play at home against Miami on Thursday night, Bucs play at home against the Jets on Sunday.

Bills vs Dolphins has the possibility of being a tight game, but I'd lean Bills.  With Fields likely out vs the Buccaneers, Bucs seems the more certain pick.

That's a good call.  I might have to go with Tampa.  I could also pick Green Bay over Cleveland, but I kind of want to wait for the Pack to get back home before picking them.  This is a three-strike league, not my usual one and done league.  I can pick anyone other than the Steelers and Broncos.

Either I never really cared one way or another or I’ve been living under a rock for a bit.

I just found out that Elon Musk offered to buy the Las Vegas Raiders for $13B.

Mark is still undecided if he wants to sell the Raiders. What are you waiting for Mark?!? You’re net worth is currently $2B, you’re 70 years old, and you live high on the hog…SELL SELL SELL…that’s just me!!

If Musk buys the Raiders, the league as we know it will never be the same.

Is this a real story?  No offense but with all the fake news out there now I have to question anything that it's obvious, or that I already have confirmed.  There was a rumor earlier in the year that Musk was offering a similar amount to purchase the Detroit Lions, which ended up being false.   Seems strange that he would overpay by that much.

I’ve no idea one way or another if it’s fake news or not. If it’s fake news, then I’ve eggs in my face…deservingly so.
