It is astonishing to me that the richest and most powerful sports league in history has a team in America's biggest market that is so clueless. The foolishness by the Jets ownership and their annual ritual of disappointing the fan base (going on nearly 15 years now) has become a never-ending soap opera of sports buffoonery. It is almost too stupid to believe. I just hope it goes on for another 15 years. I'm here for the entertainment.
KarateKen Posted March 27 Posted March 27 The No Fun League is back at it, this time making a new rule for the upcoming season that the "nose wipe" celebration will be a 15-yard penalty and is considered a "violent gesture." I never even noticed this before so maybe I was in LALA Land. I miss the days when Calvin Johnson used to dunk the football into the uprights. I miss the days when you could jump the center to block a field goal attempt. I miss the days when teams lined up for a kickoff and it didn't look ugly. I miss the days when it was a 16-game season and the old playoff format. *shurg*
KarateKen Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston have signed with the New York Giants.
KarateKen Posted March 29 Posted March 29 WR Stephon Diggs has agreed to a three-year contract with the Patriots. A few years ago, he was cussing out Patriots fans when he played for the Bills. A bit of a risky decision for the Patriots, even though they badly need to improve their offensive Diggs has a history of being a drama creator and is coming off a major injury that kept him sidelined for the second half of the 2024 season. He previously played for the Texans, Bills, and Vikings. The Ravens have reached a three-year contract extension with head coach John Harbaugh. I am not sure if this is correct, but I think he is the second longest running NFL coach with his team behind Mike Tomlin in Pittsburgh. The Ravens are contenders almost every season but have come up short in the playoffs against the Bills and Chiefs the last few years.
KarateKen Posted Wednesday at 04:46 AM Posted Wednesday at 04:46 AM While nothing is decided yet, the Steelers look to be close to coming to an agreement with Aaron Rodgers.
bushido_man96 Posted Friday at 03:16 PM Author Posted Friday at 03:16 PM Lots of moving. I saw some rules are being talked over. The playoff OT rules are now extended to the regular season. The suggestion to ban the "tush push" has been tabled at this time. 1 https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com

The tush push change was first proposed by the Packers organization, claiming that it is a risk to player safety. Sounds like a fair argument, but I think that their motivation is based more on how well the Eagles have perfected the play than concerns about safety. I have a feeling that if the Packers had perfected the play and were coming off a Super Bowl victory where that play call was a significant advantage for them, they would not be making such a proposal.
KarateKen Posted Saturday at 10:02 PM Posted Saturday at 10:02 PM NFL is again in talks about extending the season to 18 games. This has been going on for many years, long before they went to 17, and while it is inevitable that the league will go to the 18-game season, the question is when. The answer could be 2027. With the current agreement there is no chance it would happen before 2027, so the 17-game season will remain for at least the next two years. Also, a possibility of expanding the playoffs to eight teams per conference and pushing the Super Bowl to President's Day weekend could come with the extended season. An 18-game season would be good for the owners and the networks because it would equal more money. The concern though is for the health of the players. A longer season will mean more injuries. One option to manage this could be adding a second bye week, something the league will consider.
sensei8 Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM Posted yesterday at 02:18 PM To what end?? For the added risk of players getting injured?? Money is the root!! Ban the tush push…go to an 18 game season…seems to me that the powers that be of the NFL have just to much…well…idle times at their hands. **Proof is on the floor!!!
