Super Bowl 59 is upon us with the Chiefs VS Eagles; kick-off at 3:30pm PT.

Here’s what AOL.com has to say about this SB outcome…

“As defending champions, sportsbooks currently have the Chiefs as 1.5-point favorites. The game is expected to be high-scoring, with an over-under of 48.5, according to sportsbooks. The two teams combined for a 73-point shootout in their first Super Bowl meeting.”

We’ll see what we see when the dust settles down!!

GO CHIEFS!!

:)

There is no three-peat.  The Eagles dominate the Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 with a 40-22 blowout.  The Chiefs scored some points late to make it look better than it was, this was a complete domination by the Eagles who lead 40-6 at one point.  Eagles QB Jalen Hurts gets the MVP, and the Eagles win their second Super Bowl ring.  Hurts had 221 yards and two TDs in the air, and over 70 yards and a TD on the ground.  Hurts is the only QB in NFL history to rush for over 70 yards in a Super Bowl, and he did it twice. The Eagles defense shut down the Chiefs most of the game, holding them scoreless in the first half and KC did not even pass the 50-yard line until the third quarter.  Mahomes had three TD passes, but two interceptions, one for a TD, and also lost a fumble.  Very impressive by the Eagles defense and offense. RB Saquon Barkley of the Eagles celebrated his birthday with a Super Bowl win.

To the Eagles: Congratulations

To the Chiefs: No 3-Peat

Chiefs had no focus on both sides of the ball. Eagles overwhelmed the Chiefs secondary; total focus on both sides of the ball.

Until SB 60…until next year!!

Yesterday day was SB 59 where the Eagles were victorious over the Chiefs in New Orleans with a final score of 40-22.

Who’s to blame for the Chiefs loss to the Eagles?? That might not be that simple of an answer to question but those answers will vary from person to person.

The buzz around the internet seems to rest on 5 Chiefs to blame for their loss to the Eagles at SB59…

1) Andy Reid

2) Patrick Mahomes

3) Jawaan Taylor

4) Nick Bolton

5) Travis Kelce

Of course, like a captain should, Mahomes blamed not the offensive and offensive lines, he blamed himself.

I’m sure that the 5 individuals listed above had something to do with their loss one way or another. However, the Eagles played like they truly wanted to win, and as far as they were concerned, the Chiefs weren’t going to stand in their way from getting their hands on the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Who do you believe is to blame for the Chiefs loss to the Eagles at SB59?? Perhaps the word “blame” is to unfair and uncalled for.

Its a loss.  There may be no one to blame, as the other team was just better.  Did Reid get out-coached?  Maybe.  I'm sure he stated as much.  But I wouldn't fire him.  There is always finger-pointing and blame-gaming after such a loss.  Sometimes, teams just have a stinker.  That was a stinker.

OT needs to be addressed again in the off-season.  The last two draft picks at the position have been bad.  When you kick your All-Pro left guard out to left tackle, there are glaring issues at the position.  Caliendo filled in at LG decently, but there's no doubt in my mind that if Thune was playing his guard position, then the results of the pass rush might have been different.  Might have been.  The Eagles has a talented front four, especially with a high-impact DT on a rookie contract.

Although it was too little too late at the time, it was nice to see Worthy running past the defense and catching some deep balls.  I hope to see more of that next season.  With Rice back in the line-up as the underneath/screen receiver, Worthy should get chances to stretch the field more with his speed.

I hope they can retain Hopkins and Brown, but if not, hopefully one of them stays.

Reasons like you mention, @sensei8, are why I avoid the internet in general and social media particularly most of the time.  It's just angry people venting, and it solves nothing.

The last time Mahomes got shelled this bad in a Super Bowl, he came back and won two more.  If that's what it takes, count me in.  Of course, one never knows when the run will eventually end, and if this is it, then the Chiefs have brought home more than most.  I'm glad I got to finally see it.

Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles.

See y'all next season.

On a more positive note, the UFL kicks off in April I think.  Anyone going to try to watch?

Mahomes is only 29 and has many good years in front of him.  I wouldn't be surprised if he got back to the big game a couple more times.  Good chance he wins at least one more ring. He is already on the Mount Rushmore of NFL QBs.

No surprise here...the Jets have announced they are moving on from Aaron Rodgers. Questions now as to if Rodgers will retire or continue playing with a new team.  Maybe...the Las Vegas Raiders??  Another possible landing is the Steelers if Wilson and Fields, who are both free agents, end up leaving.
