bushido_man96 Posted September 19 Author Posted September 19 The Ravens have had two tough games in a row. That home loss to the Raiders makes me wonder more about who the Raiders are as opposed to who the Ravens are. If they start 0-3, that will be tough to overcome. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
sensei8 Posted September 19 Posted September 19 (edited) I hate to say this but maybe and I mean a big maybe that this might be a better season for the Raiders. But it's too early to know one way or another. Edited September 19 by sensei8 **Proof is on the floor!!!
KarateKen Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Rodgers looked good tonight against New England. Forty years old, coming off a major injury, and going strong. Two TD passes giving him 480 regular season TD passes for his career. He needs 29 more to pass Favre, and if he does it would put him into 4th all time. He is still well behind Tom Brady who had 649 which, of course, is the record. If Aaron stays healthy, I think the Jets can go deep into the playoffs. On the other side, I expect it will be a long year in Foxboro as the Patriots are starting a new era.
bushido_man96 Posted September 20 Author Posted September 20 I wasn't sure what to make of the Pat's after that first win. It looked bad tonight. Does Drake Maye start going forward? https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
sensei8 Posted September 20 Posted September 20 (edited) Raiders returned to the practice field preparing for their home opener against the Ravens. Good news for the raiders was that Crosby was practicing, although it was limited practice, even though his left ankle was tapped up, but he looked good; he's certain to play this Sunday. Does Drake Maye start going forward? My guess is that Maye will be the starter sooner than later, it is really just a matter of when the coaches think he is ready. What they want to avoid is putting him in too soon and having to pull him, that can hurt the confidence of a rookie QB and be a major setback.

GO COWBOYS!! Quick correction - the Cowboys are hosting the Ravens this week, the Raiders played the Ravens last week and won in Baltimore. Honest mistake and easy to make, just wanted to clear it up.

sensei8 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) Well, the 2024 NFL season has just begun, Already, there are 5 undefeated teams making themselves noticed...Steelers, Chiefs, Bills, Vikings, and Seahawks. Meanwhile, my Cowboys are 1-2, which have my attention because this isn't how to start the season. Cowboys travel to MetLife Stadium to the hosting Giants on TNL. My wife's Raiders are 1-2. What a difference a week makes. After having a great win over the Ravens, the Raiders were dominated by the Panthers in quarters 2 and 3, the 0-2 Panthers defeated the Raiders at their home opener by the score of 36-22. Raiders host the Browns this Sunday. GO COWBOYS!! Edited September 23 by sensei8 **Proof is on the floor!!!
bushido_man96 Posted September 24 Author Posted September 24 Kansas City won another nail-biter against the Falcons. It looked like a few miscues kept the offense from taking off in the 2nd half, and Mahomes has got to find a way to not throw so many picks. Pacheco's physicality was missed to be sure. But Steele looks to have a physical streak himself, and I see his number of reps increasing over the next few weeks. Rashee Rice has been stellar so far, and has shown that he can get open down field, and is not just an underneath screen threat. Worthy had a few more touches, but I want to see him take the top off the defense. Speaking of defense, the KC defense was amazing. Even after picking up some ill-timed penalties at the game was winding to a close, they made the plays when they needed to to seal that win. Next week I'm looking for the offense to get back on track, score some points and Patrick throw for some nice yardage. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
