ps1
I also managed to get tossed on my back, and then my head proceded to follow to the floor, making a nice flash. I've had a head ache for a few days now......got to learn to keep my head tucked!Yup, Keep your chin tucked. Also, learn to accept the fact you're being taken down. Most hard falls come from the person falling trying too hard to stop it. Accept the fall and start working for good position on the way down. That may sound hard now, but once you practice it, you'll see it's not that tough. And it will make your falls much more gentle. Jiffy
PS1 is absoloutly correct. Being a Karate person originally, when I started JJ, guys found it so easy to throw me and I was often sore. Once I learned to relax, I was able to avoid more throw and when i did get thrown (still frequent), it didn't ache. The mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open.
